Muvi
Commander of the Devas
Inspired by Kartikeya
The story
Muvi is inspired by Kartikeya, also called Murugan, Skanda and Subrahmanya. The demon Tarakasura had a boon that only a son of Shiva could kill him, and Shiva was lost in meditation. Kartikeya was born to end that. He was raised by the six Krittika sisters, the stars of the Pleiades, and grew six faces so all of them could nurse him. He led the army of the gods, carried a spear called the vel that his mother Parvati gave him, and rode a peacock. He killed Tarakasura and split the Krauncha mountain with his vel. He is especially loved in Tamil Nadu as Murugan. Muvi rides Mayku, his peacock.
